Hello Darlings!!
32 weeks pregnant over here - Holy Cannoli, can you believe it? Only 2 months left until our baby will be here. I am excited, anxious, and overall just beside myself that it's going to be happening so soon. With that being said, though, I am working on getting as much ready for him as I can. The nursery is still half home office so that will need to change over the next month here, but one thing I mentioned in my last post as well was my excitement over my cloth diaper stash!
At this point I am going to say my stash is complete (for now), and I am going to try my hardest not to buy anymore diapers! I have only invested about $120 into my entire stash which may seem like a lot, but in comparison to the hundreds, if not thousands, someone can spend from birth to potty training a child I'd say that's pretty darn good!
A little bit of my cloth diaper story - as a first time infant mom (I say that because I've been mom-ing my stepson since he was 2, but he was outside of that "infant" stage) all of the cloth diaper literature tells me to buy many different kinds of diapers from many different brands. Since there's no telling what I will like best, what baby will like best, and what will work best for our family and care providers. I think this is fair, but I'm a researcher. I research everything before I make a commitment. So, I did a lot of research and read the pros and cons of a lot of diapers and went out on a limb to decide the majority of my stash will be devoted to covers and prefolds. This is NOT a popular cloth diapering choice - let me tell you. Due to ease of use and convenience the all-in-ones or pockets are way more popular. However, I think the covers and prefolds are more cost effective and overall may work better for me. With that being said I did also invest in a fair amount of pockets and inserts. Just because I think it'll be good to have a variety, and maybe hubby and I will prefer different diapers. So, we have options.
Now, let me layout what my stash consists of. Cloth diapering folks - feel free to nerd out... or not. Whatever. I get pretty damn excited over these diapers! Haha!
Not Pictured: I have roughly 25+ Prefolds (OsoCozy & GMD) as well as 20+ Inserts for the pockets ranging from MF, Bamboo, to Hemp.

Now, for our 32 Week Stats:
- Weight Gain: Not sure. My next midwife appointment isn't until Feb. 12th, and my scale at home has never been accurate to their readings. If I had to venture a guess, I'd guess 15lbs gained total.
- Maternity Clothes: All the maternity clothes! I feel the same as my last update, and think even the maternity clothes are slowly becoming tight or too small.
- Stretch Marks? Still none. Hallelujah!
- Sleep: Meh. I am pretty damn exhausted ALL THE TIME, but it's hard to get restful sleep when I wake up every hour or two and have to re-position myself or pee.
- Miss Anything? Being able to do things - walk around, put my shoes on, bend over, hold a conversation, shower - without feeling like I am completely out of breath!
- Movement: Yes! I have finally been feeling hiccups. I thought it was the cutest and most exciting thing at first. Now, he gets them at least 2-3 times a day. It's getting annoying for me, and I feel so bad for him.
- Food Cravings: Apples!!! I could eat an apple 3 times a day, but then I'd probably have the worst diarrhea of my life! So, I limit myself, but I WANT to eat a lot of them.
- Queasy or Sick? No sickness, but the further along I get (and the larger I am) the more I have found that when I get over heated or a little warm I get pretty queasy. Good thing it's been super cold here in Minnesota so I can just crack a window or step outside to cool myself off.
- Best Moment this Week: My husband and I were laying in bed, and out of no where he said to me "You're the prettiest woman in the world." My heart absolutely melted. Any woman would swoon hearing this, but being 7 months pregnant and feeling like a large constipated, leaky, pimply mess it made meant the world to me!
- Symptoms: Besides the baby hiccups, constipation, leaky nipples, cystic acne, and greasy hair? None. *sarcasm*
- Labor Signs? Still none. I have definitely been getting, and feeling, some Braxton Hicks contractions now. However, that's not a labor sign.
- Belly Button - In or Out? Still out. I imagine it'll stay that way until baby boy's "birth"day.
- Wedding Rings - On or Off? Still on. Swelling is the one negative pregnancy side effect I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing yet!
- Happy or Moody? I've been leaning more towards the happy side in the last couple weeks! Which has been SO NICE. I definitely still get my moodiness, but at least I have a smile and am in good spirits more often.
- Looking forward to: Being able to get the nursery finished up. I know it's unlikely that I'll deliver early being a first-time-belly-mama, but I like to be prepared just in case.
Thanks for sticking around for this LONG post, y'all!!! Lots of love, and anyone here in the Midwest - STAY WARM!
